Derwent Academy Canvas's are made from 100% cotton with a medium texture. The canvas has been triple primed and can be used with or without and additional layer of primer depending on the artists preference. The canvas has been stretched with and stapled to the back of the wooden frame, so the artwork can extend beyond the surface to the edges of the canvas.
